Lesson 0: Unit Introduction

Students will learn the Boolean values True and False, and understand comparison operators such as ==, !=, >, <, >=, and <=. They will master conditional statements if, elif, and else to make programs respond differently under different conditions. Through the “Pocket Money Calculator Advanced,” students will practice combining input, arithmetic, and logical decision-making.

The key points are master Booleans and comparison operators, and using if/elif/else with correct indentation. And the difficulties are distinguishing = (assignment) from == (comparison), and understanding that condition expressions return Boolean values, not strings.
